About

Hapkido is a dynamic and eclectic Korean martial art. It is a form of self-defense that employs joint locks, techniques of other martial arts, as well as kicks, punches, and other striking attacks. Weaponary is also taught and practiced.

Our school has taught students in the tri-cities area for over 30 years. We believe all students should be treated with respect, and we are all inclusive.

Our goal is to empower every student with confidence to be able to face adversity with skills that enable them to protect themselves and their family members. Korean HapKiDo was developed centuries ago and provides a foundation of skills, as well as a mental component, which gives peace of mind and nurtures the spirit.

Our traditional Korean Martial Art School was founded by Chu Seup Ma. “Master Ma”. He served three years in the South Korean army, instructing the infantry in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do.

We are conveniently located in the tri-cities area in St. Charles, IL.
